Reviews For Playing the Odds
I have started rereading this story and this chapter made me wonder after Tony mentioned in five years he could count on one hand with fingers left over how many times Gibbs told him a good job. I wonder if anyone thought to do a tally sheet. Abby is a no brainer, praise is done on a daily basis. But if you make a sheet on Kate, Ziva, Tim and Tony you would find Tony's sheet a lot smaller. Then add a second, how many times Gibbs told each of them in front of others. Tony's would be the only one with a big fat zero. The one time Tony had to almost beg Gibbs and Gibbs told him he was irreplacable only to tell everyone in hearing , Sorry, McGee, he's still alive. I don't care where you work, or for how long, everyone likes to be told they are doing a good job. If's it's done in private then those words need to be done in private with everyone. The way Gibbs does it, he gives everyone the idea that they are better than Tony because Gibbs praises them where others can hear and all he does in insult and degrade Tony. Something else he seldom if ever has done to Kate, Ziva and Tim
