White Wedding

“ Oh my god. That’s the dress. Darling you have to get it” Kate’s mum gasped as Kate walked out of the dressing room wearing a gorgeous white floor length, backless dress.
Kate looked into her mums eyes and could see the tears swelling up in them.
“ Katie, that is perfect.” Julie said putting her arm around their mum, Leslie.
“Do you think Gibbs will like it?” Kate asks looking at herself in the mirror. She thinks she looks gorgeous in it and she knows it’s the right dress but she cant shake the feeling that Gibbs wont like it.
“ God darling, you will give the man a heart attack if you wear that. I’m telling you its perfect” Leslie pleaded with her daughter while having a little look at the jewellery.
“ She’s right you know. Either that or you will give dad one” Julie said with a little laugh.
“ This one it is” Kate told the saleswoman. They got the matching shoes and head piece and took it all back to her parents place.
Kate and Gibbs decided to have their wedding at the same place as her sister did.
It’s a week before the wedding so Kate and Gibbs are already at her parents house and the rest of the team will be coming up the day before the wedding and so Kate has to keep Abby in formed in what’s happening as she promised her.
“ Yes Abby. I know, I have” Kate assures Abby on the phone.
Gibbs walks in on Kate talking on the phone.
“ Yep he just came in” Kate tells Abby.
“ Talking about me are you?” He asks kissing her on the check.
“ Have you got your suit? Abby wants to know” She replies taking no notice of his question.
“ Abby, everything is fine. Get DiNzzo and McGee ready. We will take care of the rest ok. Bye Abs” Gibbs said taking the phone off Kate and told Abby as calmly as possible. He threw the phone on the coffee table and turned to face Kate. She had a cheeky little grin on her face.
“ What?”
“ She’s only trying to help”
“ I know” he crept closer to her. He looked deep into her eyes moved a piece of her brown hair from her face and kissed her long and hard forcing her to lie down on the lounge.
“ Gibbs not here” Kate manages to say as Gibbs kisses her neck.
“ Gibbs please” She pants as he starts to unbutton her top. He takes no notice of her pleads to stop and he keeps on moving, kissing all the way down her stomach and stops at the top of her jeans.
‘ Ding Dong’
“ Gibbs, I have to get that”
“ They’ll go away”
‘Ding Dong’
“ Ok” Gibbs gives in to the annoying sound. He gets up and lets her get the door. Kate buttons her shirt as quick as possible and opens the door.
“ Oh my god” Kate exclaims standing at the door mouth hanging open.
“ Who is it Katie?” Gibbs asked.
“ Abby, McGee and Tony” She replies throwing her arms around Abby.
“ I thought you weren’t coming up till later?”
“ We were but Abbs insisted we come up early to help” Tony says while bringing a load of luggage in.
“ But my mum, dad, sister and brother in law are here to help with everything” Kate said helping Abby with her things.
“ That’s what I told her “ McGee added.
“ Yeh, well I couldn’t wait another 4 days” She says in her defence.
“ Well since your all here I may as well give you the grand tour” Kate announces. Her eyes catch Gibbs’ and she can tell that he is annoyed by the disruption. They have hardly spent anytime together since they arrived here. Kate has been out with her mum and sister organising the cake and flowers while Gibbs’ has been out with her dad and brother in law looking at suits and transport.
“ Well lets start with the kitchen shall we” Kate said showing the way to the others.
Gibbs sat outside waiting for Kate to finish the tour when.
“ Kate, Jethro, we’re home!” came Julie’s voice followed by.
“ Darling, why is there another car out the front?” It was Leslie, Kate’s mum. They have been out getting the food and seating plans ready for Kate and Gibbs to have a look at.
“ Hey. Kate is doing the grand tour” Gibbs said walking inside.
“ Why? Who’s here?” Julie asked looking around.
“ Ah the other agents, well friends. Abby, Tony and Tim”
“ Oh I thought the weren’t coming till later?” Leslie asks walking into the kitchen putting the couple of groceries away that they brought.
“ That’s what we thought to. Hey mum, Julie this is Abby, Tim and Tony” Kate said with a smile as she ended the tour.
“ Nice to meet you all. Now what do we all want for tea?” Leslie asks with a warm smile.
“ Well Tony will eat anything, same with Tim but I like to stick to my vegetables and salads” Abby chimes in with a little laugh.

It is 8 o’clock when Kate’s dad Phil and Scott, her brother in law got home from work.
They were all outside swapping funny stories. Kate was on Gibbs’ lap, Tim had his hand on Abby’s leg and Tony was up showing everyone what Palmer looked like when he fell down the hill at one of the crime scenes.
“ Evening everyone. Hello I’m Scott the other sisters husband” Scott said walking outside and hugging Julie.
“ That’s Abby, Tim and Tony. They decided to come up early and help out” Julie informed him.
“ Well all we need now is Dylan here and that’s almost everyone” Phil said walking outside giving Kate, Julie and Leslie a kiss on the cheek each.
“Everyone this is dad, also known as Phil” Kate says.
“ So, Tony, Tim. Got any ideas for Jethro’s Bucks night?” Phil asked the two agents. They both couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of their grumpy old boss having a Bucks night.
“ Well actually Phil I wasn’t really planning on one” Gibbs says looking from Kate to her dad.
“ Well that’s ok with me, I mean you have had..”
Kate stares at her dad before he could finish his sentence. She knew exactly where he was going and she knew Gibbs didn’t like to talk about the 3 ex’s.
“ Well I think I might head off to bed” Gibbs said. He said goodnight to everyone and left.
“ I might go to. I did drive all the way here” Tony said yawning. Abby and Tim followed him soon after.
It was just Kate, Julie, Scott, Leslie and Phil outside.
“ Dad you know he doesn’t like talking about them. Why do you insist on bringing them up?” Kate questioned her dad. He could see that he had hurt her.
“ I’m sorry Katie it just came out. I really didn’t mean anything by it. Honest” Phil tried to reason with his daughter.
“ Don’t worry about it dad. Night” and with that Kate was off to bed.
“ Phil I tell you every time not to talk about them but you never listen. Why cant you talk about boats or something” Leslie said to Phil as they headed off to bed as well after Julie and Scott.
Kate walked into her bedroom to find Gibbs talking on his mobile.
“ Yes Duck. Kate and I will come pick you up. Its no problem. Night Ducky”
Gibbs put the phone on the bedside table.
“ Gibbs” Kate started.
“ Ducky is coming in two days”
“ Gibbs”
“ He is finishing up an autopsy”
“ Jethro”
Gibbs looked up at Kate who was standing in front of him.
“ I tell him not to mention”
“ Look Katie it doesn’t matter. Their the past and you’re the future” Gibbs said pulling Kate down to kiss her.
“ But” Kate try’s to say.
“ No” He demands as he kisses her again more passionately. He pushes her down on the bed and within seconds their clothes are off and they are making love.

It is 10 o’clock and Ducky’s plane gets in at 10:30 am. Kate waits by the window watching all the planes come in and out. The planes remind her of when she was with the Secret Service and flew on Air Force One. She remembers the first time she met Gibbs. She knew that he was like no other agent she had met before. She remembers him telling her that Major Kerry died and that she called him a bastard but he is soon to be her bastard.
“ Caitlin” She was awaken from her daydream as she heard a familiar voice call her. She turned around to see the sweet old face of her favorite ME.
“ Ducky. I didn’t even notice your plane had landed. How are you?” She asked her old friend.
“ Caitlin its ok. You would have a lot on your mind right now. It is only 2 days away” Ducky said as they headed for the car park.
When they got home they were greeted with a.
“ Katie its done. All we have now is the rehearsal diner and that’s it till the big day” Julie informed her as she threw her arms around Kate.
“ Ducky this is my sister Julie.” Kate said still in her sisters grip.
Julie let go of her sister and shook Duckys hand.
“ Nice to meet you. I have heard a lot about you”
“ All good I hope” Ducky chuckles.
“ Ducky!” calls Abby running to hug the old ME.
“ Hello Abby”
“ I’m so glad your finally here”
“ As am I”
Kate showed Ducky to his room. Everyone was outside getting ready for lunch.
“ Hey Duck” Gibbs greeted his old friend.
“ Jethro, how are holding up?”
“ Great” he replies giving Kate a smile.
They were digging into there lunch when the door bell rang.
“ I’ll get it” Kate jumped up.
‘Ding Dong’
“ Alright I’m coming” she yelled at the door.
“ Dylan!” she squealed as she threw her arms around her brother. She hadn’t seen him since her sisters wedding which was over a year and a half ago.
“ Katie. You are looking really good” her brother complimented.
“ Thanks, I feel it. Come in we’re all out the back having lunch”
As they got the back everyone’s heads turned towards Kate and Dylan.
“ Dyl!. Your finally here” Julie gets up and gives her brother a hug.
“ Hey Jules. Mum, Dad, Jethro, Scott, Everyone.” Dylan greeted everyone.
“ Oh right. Dyl this is Abby, Tim, Tony and Ducky. We all work together. Guys this is Dylan, the one and only big brother” Kat introduced him to everyone.
Dylan joined them at the table. He sat next to Tony.
“ So you’re the one that got your ass kicked by Kate?” Dylan asked playfully.
“ Ah no that would be little Tim McGee over there” Tony said laughing at McGee.
“ Oh don’t worry Tim. She used to beat me up all the time” Dyl joked. Kate just looked at him and smiled.
They were all laughing and talking when
“ Oh god” Kate put her hand to her mouth, got up and ran into the bathroom.
“ Kate?” Abby yelled after her
“ I’ll go check on her” Gibbs said leaving the table.
“Katie are you ok?” Gibbs asked knocking in the door.
“ Yeh I’m…” Kate tried to assure him but threw up instead.
“ Your not fine, your sick. Open the door”
“ Gibbs I’m ok. Just let me…” she tried again but once again couldn’t finish her sentence. Kate decides to unlock the door. Gibbs enters and shuts the door behind him.
“ Are you ok?” he asks bending down to her level.
“ Yes..No…I don’t know. One minuet I was fine the next…”
Gibbs pulls her hair off her face, and rubs her back.
“ I think it must have been the seafood” she says quietly.
“ You have eaten seafood before and this hasn’t happened. I’m feeling fine and I had seafood”
Kate just shrug her shoulders as she rests her head on his chest and closes her eyes. They sat on the bathroom floor for about 10 mins.
“ Kate. Katie.” Gibbs softly says. He gets no answer. He looks down to see that she is asleep. He slowly tries to get up without waking her. Once up he picks Kate up and carries her out.
“ Is she ok?” Leslie asks concerned.
“ She is a bit sick. Noting serious. She just needs to rest.” Gibbs replies with a reassuring smile. He carefully places her in bed and leaves a glass of water beside the bed.
3 hours later everyone is doing their own thing. Leslie is in the kitchen cleaning up and preparing a picnic lunch for tomorrow. Phil is telling Dylan the plans for the next 2 days. Tim is sitting on the lounge with Abby’s head in his lap, they are just talking. Tony is looking at the Todd families DVD collection. Gibbs is sitting on the swinging chair in the backyard. He is hoping that Kate is alright. In the past 4 years he has never seen her be so sick. Ducky comes out to comfort him.
“ Jethro, Caitlin will b e fine. If it helps I will look at her when she wakes up” Ducky says.
“ Thanks Duck” was all Gibbs could say. He was to deep in thought to really take any notice of him. He couldn’t help but think it was something serious. To come all this way and she gets ill 2 days before the wedding.
Kate finally wakes up. She has a sip of water before she heads out. She sees her mum in the kitchen.
“ Darling, how you feeling?”
“ Better then before” she said forcing a smile out.
She enters the lounge room.
“ How you feeling Kate?” Abby asks straight away.
“ Yeh alright. Better then before. Where’s Gibbs?” she asks looking around the room.
“ He’s outside on the chair swing” McGee said with a sweet smile.
She headed outside and saw Gibbs outstretched on the chair. As she got closer she saw that he was asleep. She kissed his forehead which made him open his eyes.
“ Your up” he says startled. He quickly sits up. She cuddles up next to him on the seat.
“ How you feeling?”
“ Like crap” she says honestly. Gibbs feels her head. She is hot but not to hot.
“ Did you have some water?”
“ Yes”
“ Did you?” he asks again, just to make sure.
“ Jethro please. I’m not stupid” she tells him getting a tad annoyed. She hardly ever calls him Jethro.
“ I know. I’m just worried about you. We have 2 days to go and you get food poisoning” he says sounding really concerned.
“ Don’t be worried. Its probably just a stomach bug. I’ll go to the doctors to make sure ok”
“ Ok” he kisses her head, feeling a bit better.
They all decide to watch a movie. Tony of course ‘had’ to choose it. Fight Club. Of all movies he chose Fight Club.
Gibbs and Kate got sick of it half way through. So after Ducky looked at Kate and assured Gibbs she would be fine they both headed off to bed.

8 am and Gibbs could hear Kate in the bathroom again.
“ Katie?” Gibbs says softly walking into the bathroom to find her hugging the toilet again. She looks terrible. Her hair is a mess and she looks so tired.
“ I’m taking you to the doctors” Gibbs said standing in the door way.
“ No no. You and the other guys are meeting with the minister. I’ll go with mum, Julie and Abby” she said reassuringly. Gibbs ran her a hot bath to make her feel better and then went to the kitchen to get some coffee. When he got their Leslie was already up and making a pot.
“ She sick again?” she asks concerned.
“ Yep. She is in the bath right now”
“ Don’t worry I’ll make sure she goes to the doctor. Now after you guys are finished with the minister don’t forget to come to the reception for a quick run through ok” Leslie tells Gibbs.
“ I’ll make sure we get there on time. Don’t worry”
“ Thankyou Jethro”
So the boys all left the house around 10am.
Kate hasn’t eaten anything since lunch yesterday and doesn’t really want to try until she has seen the doctor.
“ Kate, the doctor will see you now” the nurse came out and said. Julie and Abby stayed in the waiting room while Leslie went in with Kate.
“ So what seems to be the problem Miss Todd?” the doctor asked.
“ Well since yesterday around lunch time I have been sick” Kate tells him.
“ What did you have for lunch?”
“ Seafood and Salads mostly”
“ Any dizziness or stomach cramps?”
“ No”
“ Have you been drinking a lot of water?”
“ Yes. It’s the only thing I can handle”
“ Ok. Well I would like to do a blood test and get a urine sample first”
“ Why? What’s wrong?” Leslie asks.
“ Oh nothing. Just a precaution”
After Kate gave blood and a urine sample they went and got their nails done and picked up the flowers. On their way out of the shopping centre they went past a lingerie shop.
“ Oh my god. Katie you have to buy that” Julie stopped looking in the window at the little white lace number on display.
“ I think Gibbs would die if he saw me in that” Kate said with a little laugh.
“ You have to get it Kate. I got one for valentines day and lets just say it works wonders” Abby chimmed in with a cheeky grin.
“ Ok. I’ll get it. But if he doesn’t like it I’m blaming it on you two” she said walking into the shop.
On the way home they stopped off at the church to make sure everything is ready. When they finally did get home it was well past 2pm.
“ Anyone up for some salad sandwiches?” Leslie asked after they got settled in.
“ Yes please. No salt, pepper or butter though” Kate said shocking them all.
“ What? I’m hungry”
“ So you don’t feel sick anymore?” Julie asked.
“ Nope. Must have been a 24 hr bug like I said”
“ Well ok. Lets open the bubbly. You only have…20 hrs until you become Mrs Gibbs” Abby says jumping up and heading for the kitchen.
Jus then the phone rings.
“ Todd residence” Kate answers.
“ Caitlin Todd?”
“ Yes”
“ We have your test results”
“ Are they ok?”
“ Yes. In fact you are very healthy except for one thing”
“ What’s that?”
“ Your pregnant Miss Todd”
Kate was speechless.
“ Katie what is it?” Leslie asked walking towards her.
Kate hangs up the phone. She still has the shocked look on her face. She finally looks her mum in the eyes. Leslie can see her daughters eyes fill with tears.
“ Darling what’s wrong? Is it Gibbs? What’s happened?”
“ No no it wasn’t Gibbs” she manages to say.
“ Then who?”
“ The doctor”
“ What did he say?”
“ Abby, Julie can you come here please” she yells ignoring her mothers question.
Abby and Julie arrive either side of Leslie.
“ He said…I’m pregnant” she tells them with a smile.
“ Oh my god!” they all screamed together.
They hugged Kate and screamed and went crazy.
Then.
“ Oh no” Kate exclaimed with a worried look on her face.
“ What? What’s on no?” Julie asks.
“ Gibbs”
“ Oh Gibbs” Abby says agreeing with what Kate is trying to say.
“ What and how are you going to tell him?”
“ I have no idea. But no one and I mean NO one is to know until Gibbs does am I clear”
“ You don’t even want to tell your father” Leslie asks.
“ No’
That night they sit up watching Leslie and Julie’s wedding videos, drinking champagne except for Kate.
It is 11pm before the decide to go to bed.

“ Kate it’s time to get up” Leslie says knocking on Kate’s bedroom door.
Kate opens her door with a smile on her face. She throws her arms around her mum.
“ It’s time” Kate sighed.
They all have a healthy fruit salad breakfast before they go get ready.
The hair dresser and make up artists arrive right on time. After the makeup and hair is done they put their dresses on.
Leslie is taking lots of photos of the 3 girls getting ready.
The final piece of Kate’s jewellery is put on and they are ready. They step outside and it is the most beautiful day.
“ The limos here” Abby announces.
They get into the limo. Kate is shaking.
“ Katie its ok. You look gorgeous” Julie reassures her. As she kisses her sisters check she whispers.
“ He’s the one” and Kate’s nerves are gone.
They finally reach the church. Everyone is already inside. They pile out of the car. Leslie kisses Kate’s check and heads inside. Phil comes over to take his daughter down the isle.
First its Abby followed by Julie then finally its Kate’s turn to walk down the isle.
She cant stop looking at the man at the end of the carpet and he cant stop looking at the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen who is soon going to be his wife.
When she reaches the end her father gives her hand to Gibbs. He cant stop looking at her.

The ceremony is coming to an end.
“ You may kiss the bride” the Minister announces. Gibbs pulls Kate in close locking their lips in one long passionate kiss. Everyone cheers and claps as the newlyweds leave the church to go have pictures taken.

Everyone is talking and laughing waiting for the couple to arrive at the reception. Everyone is seated.
“ Now I welcome Mr and Mrs Gibbs”
Kate and Jethro walk into the room. All their friends and family cheer and clap. They are seated and not long after diner is served.
Kate orders a glass of water with her diner.
“ Don’t you want something stronger then water?” Jethro asks her with a smile. Kate didn’t know what to say. Was she going to tell him now or wait.
“ Now why would I need something stronger? I want to be here” she says giving a reassuring kiss. They go around the room together greeting everyone that travelled all the way to celebrate this moment.
After that was done it was time for them to take the dance floor o have their first dance as husband and wife.
Now Dylan was in charge of the music so they had no idea what they were going to be dancing to.
Kate took Jethro’s hand as he pulled her in close with his other hand on the small of her back. She rested her head on his shoulder.
‘The music starts’
“ Oh my god’ Kate whispers only loud enough for Jethro to hear.
“ What?” he asks looking down at her.
“ It’s the song” Kate says looking into Jethro’s eyes. He knows exactly what she is talking about and he remembers that long, rainy night.

4 years ago
The team has just returned to NCIS HQ after the most terrifying day of their lives.

Gibbs, Kate and Tony were in the middle of gun fire on the rooftop when.
“ SHOOTER” Kate yells throwing herself in front of Gibbs. He turns around to see her body not moving. Tony shoots the ‘shooter’ before running over to Kate’s aid. Gibbs takes care of the last shooter before heading for Kate. He turns her over to see the bullet is lodged in her vest. Kate finally moves, but her face has the look of terror as she can see Ari with his rifle aimed at Gibbs. Gibbs notices her expression and without thinking.
‘ BANG BANG’
He turns around, sees him and shoots.

Kate decides to go home after Ducky makes sure she is ok. They all hug her except for Gibbs who is starring blankly at his computer screen.
“ Don’t worry about him Caitlin, he’ll be fine” Ducky assured her.
When Kate got home she closed and locked her windows, turned on the radio and poured herself a glass of wine. She then got changed and sat on the lounge starring out the window. She couldn’t help but replay the events of the day in her mind. As the rain fell so did her tears.
She was quickly woken back into reality by a knock at her front door.
She opened the door and to her surprise there was a soaking wet Gibbs standing in front of her. He didn’t look happy, he didn’t look angry. He looked scared, confused.
“ What are you doing here?” Kate asked wiping away her tears.
“ I had to come and tell you” he paused looking deep into her eyes.
“ Tell me what?”
“ Today. When you threw yourself. You scared the hell out of me Todd”
“ Gibbs please don’t” Kate knew this Gibbs’ way of saying ‘ Thankyou for saving my life’ but she couldn’t take it. The tears started to sting her eyes. She turns away and heads towards her lounge, but before she gets there Gibbs runs after her and grabs her arm and turns her around. He can see that she is not coping with what happened.
“ Why did you do it?” he asked sternly.
“ I was told to protect you and if that meant throwing myself in front of a bullet to do that” she now could not control herself. Gibbs pulled her in close not letting go of her as she cried into his chest.
“I know, I know. It’s going to be ok now” he assured her.
She had calmed herself down. Being in Gibbs’ arms made her fell safe.
“ So why did you come here?” she asked pulling away looking at him.
He starred long into her big warm eyes.
“ I have to tell you that….I don’t want to loose you” he finally said. Kate didn’t say anything, just kept starring into his eyes.
“ I was scared when…” he didn’t finish his sentence before Kate had locked his lips with hers. She threw her arms around his neck not wanting to let go.
“ I love you Gibbs” Kate said breaking from the kiss.
“ I love you to Kate” he said going in for another kiss.

“ What about rule number 12?” Kate chimes in.
“ Screw rule 12” he said pushing her on to the lounge.

Present.
Gibbs realises how much they have been through together and can’t believe they are finally here.
“ I love you so much” he whispers. Kate lifts her head off his shoulder and looks at his face. She sees a slight tear in his eye.
She stops dancing, grabs his face, looks into his eyes and kisses him with all her might.
“ I will always love you Jethro” she says into his ear.
She feels that this is the right time.
“ Jethro, I’m pregnant”
There is no answer. No movement. She pulls away from him to see if he’s ok. He is staring at the ground.
The guests that are still watching are trying to figure out what is going on between the two.
“ Do you think she told him?” Julie asks.
“ Well judging by Gibbs reaction I think so” Abby says.
“ Told him what?”
“ Nothing McGee” Julie and Abby say together.
“ Jethro. Are you ok?” Kate asked concerned.
“ I’m wonderful” he replied with a kiss.

Once everyone was danced out they started the speeches. As usual the best man went first.
“ Well I could say a lot about these two but I wont other wise I might not have a job come Monday” Tony started with a chuckle.
“ But I will say this. The first time we met Kate she was with the Secret Service, but by the end of that week she was one of us and I like to think that it was because she couldn’t resist me ’laughs’ but as I soon found out it was because she couldn’t resist Jethro. I know we don’t like talking about it but I have to say that day when we thought that” Tony tries to fight back the tears as he remembers.
“ well that was the day I first realised Gibbs really cared even loved Kate. I never actually thought that my boss would fine love again. But he did, with the best partner and NCIS agent I have ever seen. So I now ask you to raise your glasses to my boss who found love and the best NCIS agent” Tony concluded.
Next was Kate’s dad Phil.
“ Jethro, when my daughter told me she had finally found a man that was kind caring and loving, I thought finally. Then she told me how much older you were then her I thought ‘ what is she doing’. But when she brought you here to meet us I knew you were the right one for our Caitlin. Despite you history, I know you two are perfect and I can just see the love that is between you both. So here to love” Phil ended.
As Phil was going back to his seat Jethro stood up.
“ I just want to thank the Todd family for welcoming me into your family, Kate didn’t know how you guys would feel about me but your whole family has been so inviting. I also would like to make an announcement “ Jethro started. He looked at Kate. He could see the shock on her face. She couldn’t believe he was going to tell everyone like this.
“ Kate and I are soon going to be a family of 3” he said proudly.
“ Whooh!” Abby cheered.
Everyone in the room had smiles on their faces. Even Tony. Jethro pulled Kate off her seat and kissed her. He couldn’t stop.
The celebrations went well into the morning. After the bouquet was caught ( by Abby of course) and they said all their goodbyes they were off to the airport to go to Tahiti for their honey moon.
