Gun Talk by Outside Edge
Author's Notes:
Some people have pillow talk, but not these two NCIS agents.
Set at the end of Black Water.
The elevator door slid shut as Kate and Tom McAllister left to continue their date in New York.

DiNozzo sighed as he sat down at this desk – New York, he loved New York. Then again, he loved anywhere that wasn't right here at this moment. He looked at the report on his desk. It would have to do, Gibbs could bawl him out in the morning if need be. A thought came into his head – tomorrow or more accurately today as it was 2.30am, was Saturday, so Gibbs wouldn't bawl him out till Monday, - that was as long as he could get his boss to leave the office this side of daybreak. A wicked grin lit up his face.

He crossed over to Gibbs' desk with the report in his hand and perched on the edge of the desk next to where Gibbs was sitting.
"You finished?" Gibbs enquired, not looking up from the report he was reading.
"Yep boss, all done." Tony said, throwing the file on Gibbs desk with a flourish.
Gibbs frowned and put it on the bottom of the pile of files he was working through.

"Boss" Tony said, tentatively.
"What is it DiNozzo?" Gibbs asked tersely, adjusting the desk lamp to try and make the report he was reading easier to see.
"Did you really mean what you said earlier?"
"About what?"
"Kate's dress."
Gibbs looked up. "Well at least I wasn't the one pawing her and blowing her hair about." he commented.
Tony smiled and held up his hands in surrender.
"I'm surprised you didn't offer to adjust her thigh holster" Gibbs continued, as he initialled the report and reached for the next one in the pile.
"Oh I thought I'd leave that to you" Tony said, smoothly.
Gibbs regarded him through narrowed eyes.
"Being the firearms expert." Tony added hastily.

Gibbs turned back to the report. Tony swung his legs under the table a few times.
"Speaking of which Boss, I'm having a problem with a gun of mine."
"What type?" Gibbs asked, closing the file in front of him and leaning back in his chair.
"Handgun" Tony replied, a smile playing on his lips.
"What kind of bullet?"
"Multi-seed." came the husky reply.
"Range?"
"Medium to long?"
Gibbs licked his lips and sat forward in his chair to be closer to Tony.
"What seems to be the problem?" he asked.
"I think it needs lubricating, I thought you might be able to help me with that."
"Anything else?" Gibbs voice had deepened.
"Well, the barrel's fairly thick, I need to check that the rifling is okay, that it's firing straight" Tony continued.
"Need a test chamber for that" Gibbs commented.
"I thought you might have something suitable." came the reply.
"Your place or mine?"
"Mine, I've got better soundproofing, in case the discharge is too loud." Tony said. He leant forward, close to Gibbs' neck.
"I've got black satin sheets and Egyptian cotton towels." He whispered, his breath hot on Gibbs' collar. "And massage oil…"He could hear the older man swallow hard.
"I'll meet you there." Gibbs said.
Tony got up and headed for the elevator.
"Oh and Tony," Gibbs called, "Be careful. I don't want that gun going off prematurely. It could make a real mess."
Tony grinned and waved as the elevator doors slid shut.
