The whole team attended Kate's funeral. They were still feeling the loss of a great woman, friend and agent. They would feel that loss for years to come, Gibbs was certain. He was happy for one thing though. He was able to put Kate to rest knowing that Ari's plan had been thwarted and that Ari himself was dead. Shot not by his hand as everyone thought, but by his sister's, Ziva David. She had wept afterwards. Which led Gibbs to question God about why things happen the way they do.

The team walked away from the service, hearts still heavy, but lightened in a curious way. Abby played her music and hearing it made Gibbs realize that there was a celebration up in Heaven with Kate as the honored guest that day.
