Story Notes:
Song: I Don't Want To by Ashley Monroe
She was at her computer watching him go over the information and results she just gave him. Trying to keep her mind off their private lives wasn't the easiest thing she had ever done. Naturally, uninhibitively expressive most of the time, it was difficult not to turn into his kiss when he brushed his lips across her cheek and walked out saying, "Good work."

She knew he secretly worried she'd lose interest in him and want to be with someone younger. Shaking her head, she turned her radio back on, to one of his stations this time, and got back to work.

I could go out tonight and find some stranger
It wouldn't be wrong
No, It wouldn't be wrong
Cause it ain't no crime, no felony
There ain't no chains here holding me down
Holding me down
There ain't no place here on this earth I'd rather be
So why would I leave?

I could want somebody else
I could need somebody else
I could love somebody other than you, but I don't want to

She smiled. She was thinking about how he had told her there was a country song out there about almost every situation. As she ran tests on the chemical found at the latest crime scene, her head bounced softly to the song as it played.

There is no good out there for me now
Theres nothing I can't do without
I can't live without
You make me feel like heavens pouring down on me
I know I'm free

I could want somebody else
I could need somebody else
I could love somebody other than you but I don't want to
I could dream somebody else, be treated like a queen by someone else
I could love somebody other than you but I don't want to

She was so into the song and her work she didn't hear the doors of the lab slide open. He heard the song though and as he reached her chair, softly sang, "I don't want you to leave" as the male vocal sang it on the radio.

Surprised, she turned her chair around and smiled at him before singing along with the female vocal on the radio.

I could want somebody else
I could need somebody else
I could love somebody other than you but I don't want to
I could dream somebody else, be treated like a queen by someone else
I could love somebody other than you but I don't want to

He kissed her lips softly and she told him. "You were right again, Gibbs. There is a country song for almost every situation."

He laughed, lifting her off her chair. "Come on Abs. Let's go home."
