Note: In the original Twilight Kate is killed by Ari but as this is Fiction I am going to change it slightly so I can keep writing Kibbs stories.
*Twilight*
“ Shooter!” Kate yells and throws herself in front of Gibbs just as the terrorist goes to shoot him. Kate hits the roof the roof with a bang. Gibbs turned around and shot him then made his way over to Kate’s limp body and so did Tony.
Gibbs got to her first and turned her over to look at her. He ripped open her top to reveal her vest which luckily had the bullet in-tacked in it.
Kate finally came to.
“ Oww” she moaned. Gibbs and Tony helped her on to her feet. They stood heir talking when Kate feel to the ground with a scream. Gibbs turned around and could see a read light, he fired in that general direction and didn’t stop until he was out of amo.
“ Bastard” Gibbs swore under his breath. He turned back to Kate and Tony.
Kate was on the ground clutching her arm and Tony’s hands were on top of hers to try and stop the bleeding. Gibbs rushed over to them. He ran his hand over Kate’s face re-assuring her that she will be fine.
“ Boss, Is everything ok?” he heard McGee ask in his ear piece.
“ McGee call an ambulance. Kate’s been shot” he tells the young agent. He doesn’t get a reply.
Soon enough the ambulance arrives and takes Kate and Gibbs to the hospital. Tony and McGee go and check out Ari’s apartment building then head back for HQ.
It is very late and Tony, McGee, Ducky and Abby are in the bullpen waiting for news.
“ How bad was she?” Abby asks for the 25th time.
“ There was a lot of blood” Tony said.
Just then the elevator doors dinged open. They all jumped at the sound.
Gibbs emerged then Kate. Abby squealed and ran up to her.
“ Your ok” she said as she threw her arms around her.
“ Ahh watch the arm Abs” Kate said with a smile.
“ Oh sorry” she said backing off.
Gibbs left them and headed into the bullpen and stood in front of Tony. He didn’t say anything he just stared.
“ You got him boss. Twice” Tony said with a smile.
“ About bloody time” Gibbs said and walked over to his desk.
They stayed for a while and talked.
Gibbs opened the front door and let Kate in first. He followed her into the bedroom and dropped their bags on the floor. he helped her get dressed as doing it with one arm is quiet hard.
They don’t want to go to bed yet so they go and sit on the couch and turn the TV on quietly. Kate sat next to Gibbs with his arm around her.
He cant take the silence anymore. He looks down at Kate.
“ Kate’ he says softly. she turns her head towards him.
“ Promise me you will never do that again” he said sternly. she looked into his eyes and knew what he was talking about.
“ I was assigned to protect you and that I did, even if it did mean throwing myself in front of a bullet for you” she said as seriously as she could.
“ I don’t care. Let me do the bullet taking from now on”
“ What if”
“ No. I came so close to loosing you, twice today and I never want to come that close again” he said. she looked down at the ground and it finally hit her on lucky she was to still be alive. How lucky they all were to still be alive. it scares her to think that in a split second their lives could have changed forever.
“ I just didn’t want to loose you” she said softly.
“ I know” he said then kissed her head. Tears started to slowly run down her face.
“ I love you so much” she said through the tears. He pulled her in closer.
“ I love you to” he said then kissed her. She relaxed into him and eventually went to sleep.
Note: Remember that I have not written Ziva into it. Kate is still it which means I will tweak the story lines a little bit.
*The Voyeurs Web*
Kate sits on her bed typing away on her laptop.
It has been a very long and confusing couple of days and now she has to write about it and include everything that she did and found.
She couldn’t help but think how on earth someone could basically sell themselves over the net while hundreds of men and maybe even women watch, then to basically scare the life out of her on lookers with framing her own death. Gibbs walked in to see her looking thoughtfully at her computer screen.
“ Your not thinking of that erotic web thingy are you?” he said with a chuckle.
“ What? No, god no” she says quickly.
“ That’s good” he said with a smile. He sat down next to her on the ed. he stared at the wall. He then looked over at Kate. he reached over and shut the top of her computer.
“ I was working on something” she told him. He didn’t say anything, he just smiled and kissed her. he slowly grabbed her computer off her and placed it on her side table.
“ Gibbs how can you want to after” she started but he stopped her by kissing her again. He forces her down on the bed and supports his body over the top of hers.
“ I want to because its you, but if you don’t” he said then slowly started to get up. She grabbed his shirt.
“ I want to” she says quickly with a smile. He smiles in victory and leans down and kisses her.
Note: This in really what happens after the case but rather my own take on it.
*Under covers*
“ It’ll be great fun boss. Me and Kate will go undercover as the two assassins and when we get the call and identify them you and McGee come in and save the day” Tony says with big smile on his face.
“ Oh no I am not being married to you” Kate objects. they are both standing in front of Gibbs’ desk. He sat there contemplating Tony’s idea.
“ Good. Lets do it” he agreed. McGee tried not to laugh.
“ Gibbs!” Kate said showing her disapproval.
“ Ah Katie, this is going to be fun” Tony teased. Gibbs stood up.”
“ I wasn’t talking about you, Tony. Kate and I will go under cover while you and McGee keep watch” he said sternly. Kate tried to hide her pleasure. She turned and smiled at Tony and walked back to her desk. McGee couldn’t help but laugh at him.
“ But boss, no one is going to believe that you and Kate are actually married’ he said. Gibbs looked at him.
“ I mean they can but…they will” he stopped himself and ran back to his desk for safety.
“ I’ll be down with Duck’ Gibbs said and exited the bullpen.;
“ Face it Tony your jealous” Kate teased as she leant on her desk.
“ What do I have to be jealous Kate. Being stuck with you I don’t think so” he said with a smile. She smiled at him and sat down.
Soon enough Gibbs walked into the bullpen.
“ Kate lets go” he said as he walked past. she grabbed her stuff and followed him to the elevator.
“ Have fun!” Tony yelled after them.
“ You are jealous” McGee teased.
“ Shut up Probie no one asked you” Tony snapped.
Kate and Gibbs entered their hotel room. They put their bags down and scan the room for any bugs or explosives.
“ Everything seems to be clear over here” Kate calls out. Gibbs doesn’t say anything. She feels his arms come around her from behind. He then places kisses on the back of her neck. She closes her eyes and relaxes into him. She turns around in his arms and kisses him.
“ Is this the only reason you swapped with Tony?” she asked softly.
“ No. Tony and you had to be married and married people” he said then kissed her to get his point across.
“ I see” she said with a smile. He kissed her again. They made their way to the bed.
“ We would of faked it” Kate said breathlessly.
“ Well now you don’t have to” he replied and kissed her again. She turned him over and was on top of him.
“ Good” she said and kissed him. Her hands on his belt and un did it.

After a long week of sex, meetings and in Gibbs’ case beatings they finally got to go home and be themselves again.
Kate took Gibbs home and went back to HQ. She entered the bullpen to see Tony sitting at his desk.
“ Hey how is he?” Tony asked looking up from his computer.
“ He’s ok. Bruised and sore but ok” she said with a smile.
“ That’s good to hear” he said with a smile and a nod. Kate continued to her desk and picked up the couple of things that she had left behind. She noticed he was still staring at her with a weird grin on his face.
“ Is there something else on your mind Tony?” she asked him.
“ Oh just wondering what you would do if you knew I knew what happened between you and Gibbs in that hotel room.
“ What are you talking about?” she asked nervously. He smiled at her and signalled for her to come to him. She did so and stood behind him.
“ What is it?” she asked.
“ Watch” was all he said. He pressed play on the computer screen. She watched as footage of the hotel room they were in popped up. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
The hotel door burst open and in came Kate and Gibbs. Lips locked with each other and clothes being discarded quickly. Kate quickly stopped the video.
“ And you’ve seen all of it?” she asked softly.
“ Yep”
“ Where did you get it from?”
“ The FBI. They were watching your every move in that room”
“ So you’ve seen every other day and night?” she asked scared.
“ Yep”
“ Has anyone else?”
“ Nope”
“ Great. Make sure you delete them all and do not tell anyone” she said walking over to get her bag. She was on her way out when she stopped and turned to face Tony.
“ Tony. Why did you watch them all? Didn’t it disturb you watching your boss have…with your co-worker?” she asked with a smirk. He looked at her speechless.
“ They had better be gone in the morning” she called back as she left.
She finally arrived home. She walked in to a quiet house. She thought he might have been asleep but she found him in the basement working on his boat.
“ I thought you would have been in bed” she said as she came down the stairs.
“ Couldn’t sleep” he simply said.
“ Tony asked about you” she said.
“ Yeah”
“ Yeah. He also showed me something quiet interesting”
“ Yeah” he said not stopping his work. She walked up to him and placed her hands on top of his to stop him. He did and looked at her.
“ He showed me a video of us in the hotel room”
“ So” he said not getting what she was saying.
“ So it just happened to be the night we burst through the door and had the best…ever” she said raising her eyebrows. His expression changed dramatically.
“ I see. What did he see?”
“ All of it. And apparently he saw every single other time to”
“ How?”
“ The FBI was taping us. I got him to delete every single video he had”
“ That’s a start. We have to tell everyone before he does” Gibbs said heading up stairs.
“ I told him to tell anyone”
“ Yeah but its DiNozzo. When has he ever listened to you” he called back as he ran up the stairs.
“ Good point” she said aloud to herself. She made her up the stairs to and found him in the bathroom looking at his bruised face.
“ I’m sorry. I should have told them straight away” she said coming up behind him.
“ Its ok. They would of done it anyway. We should go to bed and get some sleep before we have to tell everyone” he said turning around and kissing her. She grabbed his hand as he lead her to the bedroom. They both got snuggled into the bed, this time Gibbs was snuggled up tp Kate and she ran her fingers through his hair.
“ He watched all of them did you say?” he asked softly.
“ That’s what he said”
“ Then why didn’t he stop when he realised it was you and me?”
“ I asked him that same question”
“ And?”
“ He didn’t answer” she said with a little laugh.
