1 more parts and we find out who gets to raise Jenny, or do we

Moments after Tony and Jenny left the hospital, the patient care
person came in to tell Gibbs about the phone and TV. Along with her
the dietitian came in with a tray for him and asking what he wanted
for tomorrow. Gibbs didn't want anything.

"Pat, give him the egg," Beth said as she walked in holding her
coat.

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Gibbs."

The dietitian left but Beth stayed.

"So how are you holding up?"

"Fine. Why?"

"Cut the crap with me, Jethro, I know better. You're the strong one."

"That transparent, am I?"

"Only because I've been doing this for over twenty years, yeah."

"I can't see that. Only about ten years I'd think. You don't look
old enough to be doing this that long."

"Why, thank you." Beth pointed to the chair. "Mind if I sit for a
moment? Being off duty now I can sit more and my feet are killing
me."

"Sure." Gibbs felt a little weird having her come in just to
talk. "Thanks for helping make them leave. Not that I wanted them
really to leave but"

"The poor little girl has seen enough hospitals for her life, and it
will just make it worse for her to stay here. She is scared enough."

"She's terrified she'll lose one of us."

"She should be. You both work in a dangerous field, and with losing
her mother."

"Yeah, it was hard in the beginning with nightmares."

"She seems to be doing okay, except for tonight."

"She's doing great. She's one of the most popular in her school and
she is so giving," Gibbs said with pride, Beth could see Gibbs
almost glowing.

"Jethro, how are you doing?"

"Fine."

"No, really."

"Really, Beth, I'm okay. Well, except for being shot."

"And why is that?"

"We underestimated the Marine we were questioning."

"And where was your stud?"

"Covering my back."

"Really?" Beth was giving him the evil eye, knowing he was lying.
She'd heard the story and knew he'd told Tony to hang back because
he didn't underestimate the Marine, he had a feeling it would go bad
and it did but for him.

"Yes."

"Well, honey, when you're ready to talk about it honestly, I'll be
back at 8:00 in the morning." Beth got up, patted his good arm and
walked out.

Beth was right. By making Tony hold back, he hadn't had HIS back. He
couldn't have him get hurt. Now what had he done? Jenny would
undoubtedly be waking up all night long with nightmares about
looking for him and he is not there, he is stuck in the hospital. He
picked up the phone and made a call.

"Yes, Tom?Yes, I am fine?We underestimated him?Yes, sir?Well, I'm
not calling about that really?Yes, you'll have my resignation on
your desk within the end of the week? No, it's not that Tom?Yes. Well
I can't do that to them anymore?Yes, I know?No, I've made up my mind?
Yes, sir?Thank you, sir." Gibbs hung up the phone. Tony would go
ballistic with what he just did, but he couldn't do this to Jenny
again, and he had to be there for Tony.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Tony only got about two hours of sleep all night. Jenny did wake up
almost every hour. She was screaming Gibbs name, and during one of
the screams she even yelled Daddy. Tony had been crying most of the
night, but on that one he really let the floodgates open. Jenny
didn't even know she was doing it.

After about 6:00 AM rolled around, Jenny settled down and had not
woken up but she was holding onto Tony for deal life. Tony reached
over and picked up his phone; it was about 7:00 AM.

"Yes, sir it is?Yes, sir?Thank you, director? No, sir, but if you
like I can give a statement tomorrow after Special Agent Gibbs is
released?Yes, sir, I know?Sir, you'll have my resignation on your
desk within the next day?Sir?Yes, sir after yesterday I have done a
lot of thinking, and I have a bigger job now, and I have to be there
for both of them? No, sir, I've made up my mind? No, sir, I haven't
talked to Jethro?Sir?Thank you, sir." Tony had just given up his
second love in the world. But his first, his family, came first; he
needed to make sure he didn't get hurt in the field for Jenny and
Gibbs' sake.

"Hey, Peanut, time to get up. We can get something to eat, then go
see Gibbs."

"Um, what's happened? Where-" and then Jenny remembered what had
transpired the day before.

"Oh, Tony, what's going to happen?" Jenny was sobbing into Tony's
old T-shirt and using it as a tissue.

"Nothing, honey. Gibbs is fine. He should be coming home today
sometime."

"Tony, I'm scared."

"Oh, Peanut, don't, it's fine, honey." Tony was stroking her
hair. "Now, let's get dressed and we can go to the diner and get
something to eat and take some real food to Gibbs, how does that
sound?"

"ok." She said weakly

Jenny pulled back, then wiped her nose on Tony's shirt. He just
smiled. At one time in his life, not to long ago, that would have
grossed him out, but now it was fine and he almost enjoyed it.

Tony, growing up, always knew he was gay and would not get children;
it was part of the reason he'd donated sperm in college. At least
his genes would be out there somehow. Now he'd found a daughter he
never really knew he'd wanted, and now he wouldn't change anything
except the fact of why. He loved Jenny now as his own. He loved her
before, but now she was his or would be, he knew the judge would
rule in their favor. Abby had done more digging, and the man
couldn't keep a job for long, and he had some problems with
gambling. His viewpoints would also not be in his favor. He was a
bigot and didn't hide it at all.

Tony was daydreaming.

"Tony." Jenny started to shake him out of it.

"Hey, Peanut, what?"

"Just, you looked all weird. You okay?"

"Yup, just thanking God for you." Tony kissed the little girl on the
head. "Now let's get dressed and get food. I'm hungry."

"Me, too." Jenny climbed off the large, comfy bed and walked up to
her room, Tramp following her the whole time. Tramp never left her
side when she was in the house.

Tony got dressed and he met Jenny in the hallway. She only had on a
shirt and jeans.

"Do I have to go to school?"

"Not today, honey, but tomorrow, yes."

"But who'll take care of Jethro?"

"I will. I talked to our boss, and I have a few days off." He didn't
want to tell her just yet about resigning because he wanted to tell
Gibbs first.

They went downstairs and she fed Tramp and Tony put him out on the
run. Tony came back in, letting Tramp run around for a few minutes.

"So, Peanut, your election is this week, right?"

"Yup, Friday."

"I'm very proud of you."

"Really?"

"Oh, yes, and I'm sure Jethro is as well. You've done so well in
school."

"Yeah, I like school now, the teacher and my friends."

"Good, I'm glad. So, are you happy about going to Disney?"

"Yep. I want to have breakfast with the princesses, and I want to
get autographs. This one kid, she was telling me all about it."

"That sounds like a lot of fun. We can make a game of it. We can see
of all of us who gets the most."

"Cool, that sounds fun. Tony, do I still get an allowance?"

Tony had not even given it much thought since Christmas. She'd never
asked for money since. "Yeah, sure, why, honey? You always clear the
table and you keep your room almost as spotless as Gibbs keeps the
house, and you always feed Tramp. Well, the other week you didn't,
but you were sick, so that doesn't count."

"Good. You think I can get some of it? I want to buy Abby and
everyone gifts while I'm there."

Tony smiled. Jenny was always giving to other people.

"Sure, honey, I think we can make that happen. I even think there is
something called Disney Bucks. We can go to the mall this weekend
and get some and that can be what you spend on anything you want."

"Anything?"

"Yep. I also have to get a new camera for the trip and make sure we
get enough memory for the pics."

"I'm so happy about this trip, but-" Jenny stopped.

Tony heard barking out back.

"Hold that thought, Peanut, let me go get Tramp." Tony went out, got
him and brought him in. Tony walked back in right behind him,
finding Jenny was almost in tears again.

"Hey, why so glum? You were just so happy."

"What if-" she sniffled "-the judge doesn't let me stay?"

"Oh, honey, that's not going to happen."

"You don't know."

"You're right, honey, I can't tell you for sure, but I have a good
feeling about it. This man, he has been mean to you and you told the
social worker everything he ever said to you mean and that will get
back to the judge that he is just not a good man. The judge will see
that, trust me, honey."

Jenny hugged the man in front of her.

"Now, let's get going. I'm so hungry I could eat the table." Tony
smiled at her, and she giggled back.

They drove to the diner and had breakfast. They ordered Gibbs the
hungry man's special with all the meat and eggs. He was going to be
very hungry. After getting that it was about 9:15 AM. They drove to
the hospital.

"Tony, Nurse Beth will be mad."

"Why, Peanut?" They were in the elevator.

"She said not to come before 10:00."

"Well, maybe she won't notice." Tony winked at her.

They got off the elevator and walked down the hall, trying not to
look as they passed the nurse's station.

"Stop right there, you two. I seem to remember telling you not
before 10:00."

Tony turned around and was smiling his big smile at her. Jenny
looked like a dear caught in headlights.

"Nope, your lovely smile is not going to work on me, young man. What
are you doing here?"

Tony with his wit said, "Bringing the inmate contraband," as he held
up the Styrofoam box. He winked and smiled.

Beth was trying to keep a straight face. "You know better about that
kind of stuff." She walked over, took the takeout Styrofoam, opened
it and stole a strip of bacon. "Have to make sure it's not poisoned.
Now, get your hinnies in there. The rest of the staff can't stand
him. He is barking at everyone."

"Well, did you give him coffee?"

"Heck, no. Make him even worse with that kind of stimulant."

"Oh, honey, coffee is how you soften a wild Gibbs."

Beth led him over to the coffee maker in the nurse's room, and he
poured Gibbs a big cup. Beth had found a large, empty plastic cup.
Tony wasn't happy he'd forgotten the good stuff at home, but Gibbs
used to drink tar, so this should be a lot better. He and Jenny back
to the room. Gibbs was almost frothing at the mouth.

"Hi, Jethro." Jenny went running into the room, almost climbing on
the bed.

"Hey, Sunshine." He looked at and smiled at his younger lover. "You
had better have coffee with that smile."

"Coffee tames the wild Gibbs." Tony lifted up the plastic cup he'd
just poured. "It's not the good stuff, but it is coffee."

Tony walked in, handed him the hot liquid and he almost drank it in
one sip. Then he opened his food and dug into that.

"So, when can we spring you?"

`The doctor was in just a few moments ago and said it looks like I
should be getting out around noon since there was not a lot of blood
loss and the bullet didn't really hit anything but muscle. He said
he would give me some painkillers and to follow up with Ducky. Hey,
on the way home can we stop at the mall? I want to pick up a few
books."

"Boss, I'm not sure if that's the best idea. You just got shot."
Tony shocked that Gibbs wanted to go to the mall.

"My shoulder is fine, DiNozzo."

"Well, we'll ask the doctor before we leave, and he will make that
decision."

Tony walked over and gave his lover a kiss for the first time since
coming into the room. They heard a cough from the door.

"Tom."

"Director Marrow, sir." Gibbs had known the man for many years, but
Tony still felt weird calling him by his first name.

"Gentlemen."

"Hello, Mr. Marrow, sir." Jenny was sitting in a chair by the bed..

"Well, hello, honey. Can you do me a favor, honey?"

"Sure."

"Think you can go out and talk with that nice nurse for a moment? I
need to talk to the men."

Jenny looked scared. She was worried about losing them again.

"Jenny, come here," Gibbs said.

"Yes, Jethro?"

`Tony and I are fine, honey, you didn't lose us, and we'll be home
again tonight. Go out and tell Beth about your book club at school."

"But-"

"Peanut, you can still see us through the window."

"Okay." She walked out, looking back every few steps.

Tony shut the door as Beth began talking to Jenny.

"So, have the two of you talked yet?"

Both men had talked to Tom but not to each other.

"Okay, from the blank looks on your faces, I'm guessing that the
other one doesn't know what you're doing. I am going to say I will
hold onto your requests for now and hope that you both will talk it
over and then you can report back to me. Till then I have talked
with your doctor, Jethro, and you are being taken off duty for the
next two months, then only light duty for a little longer. After
that Ducky will determine what next. Am I clear, gentlemen?"

"Yes, sir," they both said in unison.

"Good. Now Agent DiNozzo, as I am sure Agent Gibbs will be of little
use to himself, I am guessing you're asking for a few days of
vacation."

"Yes, sir."

"Fine, you can have as long as you need. Also this will not affect
your vacation plans for the last week of July. That has been
approved, and she deserves to go to Disney with her new fathers
since I am sure the judge will rule in your favor. Jimmy and I took
little Tommy there last year, and we had a blast."

"Thank you, Tom."

"Get better, Jethro. Tony, have a good day and think about what you
both talked to me about." Director marrow nodded his head and walked
out and was talking to Jenny. Gibbs knew he was doing this to
distract her.

"You called Marrow and told him what?" Gibbs almost barked at Tony.

"I tendered my resignation, and I am guessing you did the same."

"Tony, we didn't even talk about it."

"Then, baby, we're both guilty."

"Not the point."

"Yes, it is the point. After last night I will not put that little
girl through that again. She woke up every hour with nightmares,
Jethro. She even yelled out for her daddy, Gibbs. No, this is the
point. I HAVE thought about it."

Gibbs grabbed him and pulled him in for a kiss.

"Jethro-"

Gibbs kissed him again. "You done and letting me talk yet?"

Tony smiled.

"Tony, I'm older. I'm due for retirement anyway, so let me."

"Boss, we both love our job, and neither of us will be happy with
the other quitting. Nether of us are going to win this conversation."

"Tony, you can't quit. This job is the longest one you've ever had."

Gibbs was holding Tony's hand. Blue eyes were locked with hazel.
They knew Beth and Tom were keeping their daughter busy.

"Jethro, we have a new job, and that one is much more important then
the one we had. It's not like I need the money. Hell I could give
over half away and still have enough for us to live like kings on. I
want to do this. I'm not rushing into it. I thought about it all
last night, and it hurt even more when she would wake up thinking
about you and me getting hurt or worse."

"Tony, don't think like that."

"I have to, Gibbs, we both do. I love you with all my heart, but I
love that little girl just as much."

"Tony, I'm the same way, but this is just rash. You're only doing it
because I got hurt."

"Hurt because you made me hang back. I told you not to protect me on
the job."

"Damn it, Tony, it could be you in this bed."

"You're right, Jethro, it could have been me, but no, you had to go
and play God." Tony was pissed and it showed in his angry words.

"Like you said, I'm your knight in shining armor."

"Yes, baby, and I love you for many more reasons, but it is not
going to work. We both are no longer effective at our job. Before
you say it, a transfer to a new team would not do it either since we
would be thinking of the other one out on a job and too worried and
might fuck up and get ourselves hurt or worse someone else that we
are working with."

"So that's it, we both are retiring."

"No, you're not."

"Yes, Tony, for the same damn reason you just gave me, plus one
more. I am old, I am at that age for retirement."

"You're not old." Tony was trying to hold it together.

"Yes, I am, Tony, no matter how you want to look at it. I am, and
it's getting harder and harder each time I'm out in the field for me
to keep up. I'm in great shape, I know, but still my bones ache and
my eyesight is going."

Tony laid his head on Gibbs' good shoulder. Gibbs was stroking his
head when the door opened.

"Tony, are you okay?"

Tony looked up and saw Jenny standing in the door. Tom nodded. He
knew the answer he needed was right there. Both men had just left
his employment. He wasn't happy, but he also knew the reason and
could understand that. He and Jimmy about two years ago had adopted
a little boy. It was easier for him and Jimmy since neither had to
go out and get their hands dirty in the same way as the agents did.

"Yes, Peanut. Come here, please, Jethro and I have to talk to you."

`Tony, no."

"Boss, she has a right to know now. This affects her just as much as
us. Plus she might be happier."

Jenny walked over to them, and Tony put her on the chair. She was
standing, Tony holding her steady.

"Honey, Jethro and I are no longer working for NCIS."

"Why?"

"Well, last night showed both Tony and myself that you are more
important and we can't risk one of us getting hurt. You're much too
important to us."

Jenny didn't know what to think. She didn't know what it cost the
two men to do what they'd just done. But she knew she would be happy
since then she would not have to sit in the lab with Abby for hours
on end, bored.

"So I won't have to sit in the lab with Abby and be bored?"

"Nope, not anymore, and we won't have to go out of town like we did
that one time. It was only overnight but still now we will be home
all the time."

"We might kill each other, boss," Tony said humorously.

"Nope, we take up hobbies. I know you love the charity functions, so
now you can do that kind of thing, and maybe now I can build Jenny
that toy box."

"Will my name change?" Jenny suddenly asked out of the blue.

"What do you mean, Peanut?"

"Well, I overheard you both talking a few weeks ago about the judge
thing and she would give me to you and not that mean person."

"Well, what do you want, honey? I think you're old enough to make
that choice. What about you, Tony?"

"Right with you, boss. You're a big girl and can make up your own
mind."

"Can I think about it?"

"Sure, Sunshine."

"If I do, whose would I get, Tony's or yours, Jethro?"

"Both."

"Both? How?"

"We put a hyphen in the middle so it would be DiNozzo-Gibbs."

"Why me first, boss?"

"Why not?"

Tony just smirked. Yeah, why not. The doctor walked in and Beth was
with him.

"Get down from there right now, honey," Beth was saying it more for
Tony than her.
Tony picked her up and was holding her. He moved her so she was
sitting on the bed by Gibbs' legs. Beth just smirked at him.

"Well, Mr. Gibbs, everything looks good, just keep your arm in a
sling for a little while. I would say a week, then follow up with
Doctor Mallard, he will take good care of you. Here are your
discharge papers, and it was nice seeing you."

Tony shook the man's hand and thanked him with a full heart.

"Um, doctor."

The doc stopped right before the door.

"It's okay for me to go out and about just not to overdo it, right?"
Gibbs asked, looking right at Tony and smiling.

"Yes, just take it easy and don't overdo it or use that arm and you
should be fine." He walked out.

"Okay, boss, we can stop at the mall."

"Make it sound like a chore, DiNozzo. You're the one saying to me
that shopping was an art form and that you are an artist. "

"We can go to the mall. Cool! Can I get a new book? I'm done with
the one I had."

"Sure, Peanut, and we can get the Disney Bucks we talked about."

"Jethro, please sign here." Beth handed him the paperwork for
getting out. "Now, here is the script for the pain killers, make
sure he takes them, Jenny, you can do that, right?"

"Yes, ma'am. Ducky tells me I have to tell him when they do stuff
and get sick."

"Well, I'm happy to know that they are in your good hands. Now,
don't overdo it at the mall, Jethro, and your chariot will be here
in a moment. Will you like to be his chauffeur, honey?"

"Yes, ma'am," Tony and Jenny both said, nodding.

Beth walked out and went to get a wheelchair.

"Okay, let's get Gibbs into the clothing we brought for him, honey.
He and I are going to go in the bathroom and get him dressed. You
stay out here and watch for the wheelchair." Tony had packed a pair
of sweats and a shirt and briefs for Gibbs. Tony helped Gibbs off
the bed. He was in a little pain, not much, but when he moved off
the bed the pain shot through him. He wouldn't make it shopping that
much after all. Tony could see it in his face.

Tony helped Gibbs off with the hospital gown. Gibbs used Tony as a
balance as Tony bent down to help put the briefs on. Tony watched as
his favorite play toy in the world went away but he gave it a quick
kiss before it was covered. Gibbs took in air.

"Not fair."

"Neither was sleeping in a half empty bed," Tony said with a smirk.

He put the sweats on him. Tony stood and took off the sling, and the
shirt he grabbed was a button down. He slipped it over his bad arm
and Gibbs all but yelled in pain.

Tony stopped and kissed his lover. "Sorry, baby."

"I know, Tony."

Gibbs wasn't pissed at him. Tony put the other arm in, and then
buttoned it up and put the arm back into the sling. There was a
knock on the door, and they opened it to see Jenny holding the
wheelchair.

Gibbs sat in it, and with Tony's help Jenny pushed him out. Tony had
used valet parking to get the Mercedes. The man pulled up, and Tony
tipped him. Tony helped Gibbs into the car. Their first stop was the
drugstore where they got the script filled. When Tony's phone went
off, Gibbs picked it up.

"Gibbs?Yes, Abby it is Tony's phone. You're smart?What??Well, we've
just talked about it ourselves. News travels fast? The director had
to move Tim and Ziva? I was hoping he would keep them on the same
team?.Yes, Abby we will be home in a little over an hour. We're
stopping at the mall. You can come over and yell at us then?Yes,
Abby, it's for real?Thanks, Abs."

"Is Abby pissed?"

"Well, Tim and Ziva got a transfer off my team since it is no longer
my team. It would have gone to you, but?"

"I know, boss. Tim is good but still raw, and well, Ziva is Ziva."

"I like Ziva," Jenny said from the backseat. "She's teaching me a
new language."

"Yes, she is, honey, and you're doing great, she says."

Tony stopped at Burger King and got Jenny a big kids meal and a cup
of coffee for Jethro.

"Here, take one," he said, holding out one of the brightly colored
pills he'd just picked up.

"No, Tony, I will be out in an hour."

Tony just looked at him.

"Jethro, Beth said you need to take your medication," Jenny reminded
him.

"I know, Sunshine, but it will make me sleepy. I'll take it after we
leave the mall, I promise."

"Okay."

Tony put it away when Jenny said that knowing Gibbs would not lie to
her. Tony pulled into the mall and parked the SUV. Jenny took Gibbs
good hand and walked into the mall. Waldens was right there at this
entrance. Gibbs walked in to the travel section. Jenny went to the
kid's section and Tony was looking at magazines. Gibbs picked up a
few books on Disney. Now that they had the time, he was going to
plan it down to the second with what to do and where to do it. Jenny
saw the books and smiled.

"Yes, honey, we're going to call and make the arrangements later,
maybe tomorrow."

"Cool. Tony, Tony, look what Jethro got!" Jenny ran over and got
Tony's hand and dragged him to see all the Disney books.

"That's cool. We can call tomorrow with info that I am sure Jethro
already has. We're staying at the Contemporary. It is so cool, the
monorail goes right through it."

"Cool."

Gibbs looked at both of them, how excited they were. This trip would
be fun and expensive, but his family was worth it. Jenny got a few
more American Girl books, then they walked over to the Disney store.
They had all the summer stuff. Tony got a catalog and then found a
few little things he loved and had to get for Jenny. She needed a
new bathing suit, and they had a Tinkerbell one that was too cute;
even Gibbs thought so.

"Hey, guys, let's hurry this up. I think I'm in need of a pill."
Gibbs smiled even though the pain was killing him. Tony saw it in
his lover's face and paid for their stuff.

"Tony, the Disney Bucks thing you said."

"You're right, honey. Okay, Jethro, Jenny would like to know if she
got an allowance. I said yes she would and she wants to get Disney
Bucks for our trip."

"Sounds like a plan to me. How about we get her 150. That should be
around right with all the chores she has done since her last time."

"Quite right."

Tony turned to the cast member and paid for all the stuff. Tony was
calling the catalog that night and ordering a few things for Jenny
and him and Gibbs.

They stopped at the good coffee shop and got Gibbs a new flavor.
Gibbs took the pain pill and they drove home. They didn't know it at
that point but someone was following them.

When they got home that someone drove away knowing no one had seen
them. They helped Gibbs in the house, and he was sleepy. After a
small argument they put Gibbs on the sofa and Jenny covered him with
the throw. Tony knew that the team would be there, well his friends,
it was not a team any longer.

He took out the menus and was ordering Pizza tonight for them all.
While waiting for Abby he ordered from the catalog, three more
swimsuits for Jenny. He ordered every beach towel they had and the
matching luggage set. He ordered two of them, one from each set. He
also ordered the swim trunks for him and Gibbs; they had a few kinds
so he went for the magic one for Gibbs and the Stitch one for him.
He also ordered a few shirts. He gave them his credit card, and
they were going to ship it.

While looking around he saw the travel part and thought about it.
Why not? They knew when they wanted to go and what would this part
hurt. He called. He was greeted by a very nice man and they talked.
In the end Tony booked the presidential suite in the Contemporary.
It was large enough for them all to stay in and have their own room.
He also had a private limo service picking them up and taking them
back to the airport. First class airplane seats. They had a meal
plan also. Tony had put in the file they wanted juice boxes and
fruit snacks in the hotel room fridge. Also Tony booked the hottest
ticket for character breakfast and they were dining with the
princesses.

They were booked to arrive August first and leave August ninth. That
was a long time, and he knew they would all be happy. They would not
be leaving the park so a car was not needed. He could get someone to
stay at the house while they were gone and take care of the dog and
such. Jenny was watching TV in the living room and watching Gibbs
sleep. Tony smiled. He had a confirmation number and everything
written down since he knew that Gibbs would want as much details as
he could get.

Then the team showed up. They happened to be altogether, even Ducky.
When they came in, Ducky woke Gibbs up to see the wound and gave
Tony instructions on how to change the dressing everyday. Then they
all talked about them both retiring. Their friends understood but
they were not happy to be splitting up the team. They ate the pizza
after it arrived and drank beer and what not. Gibbs had coffee.
Ducky would not let him mix beer with painkillers. He was groggy
most of the night. After he passed out the sixth time everyone left.
Tony got Jenny into bed. She was not allowed to read tonight since
she had school in the morning. Then Tony went and got Gibbs up to
the bedroom. He was pretty coherent.

"Boss?"

"Yes, honey."

"I booked the trip."

"You did what?"

"Well, I booked the trip. I have all the details for you, but we are
staying from the first to the ninth of August and we have the
presidential suite and first class airplane seats."

"Tony, I wish you would've waited. We don't need all that."

"No, you're right, but I wanted it. We have not had a family
vacation, so go overboard on the first one. Please, honey. The room
will be big enough for Jenny to be in the same area but have her own
room and we have a jacuzzi and we will need it after walking around
all day."

"Tony."

Gibbs was lying in bed. Tony was getting undressed. He took off all
his clothing and he slinked into the bed, pulling Gibbs onto him.

"That is a lot."

"So? Gibbs, we don't have to worry about it. Let's go all out and
make it special for her."

"And you."

"Well, yes. I went a few times with frat brothers and we had a
blast."

"Okay, honey."

"Plus we have breakfast with the princesses the one day; it is the
hottest ticket."

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why are we doing that?"

"Boss, it is part of the experience. You eat with the character and
get autographs and I told Jenny we would be having a contest to see
who can get the most."

"Okay, honey, let's make it great. I got the books and I will plan
it down to the minute."

Tony just smiled. He kissed Gibbs. They kissed for about thirty
minutes. Gibbs wanted to do more, but Tony wouldn't let him. Not
tonight after he just got out of the hospital.
