"What is it?" said Kate
"I've got a crush on this girl" replied Tony
"Uhuh…. And?" said Kate when she saw Tony wasn't going to continue any time soon.
"And I love her" he stated
"Okaaay"
(Silence)
"Did you tell her?" said Kate with interest.
"No…"
"Why not"
"Coz I know she doesn't feel that way"
"How do you know? You didn't tell her"
"I just know"
(Silence)
"Funny" said Kate to herself not noticing she said that loud.
"What's funny?"
"I know how you feel"
"…" Tony didn't know what to say. So to clear it up Kate continued…
"I've got a crush on this guy-"
"Who?" Tony asked almost rapidly.
"None of your business!"
(Silence)
"You told him?"
"No"
"Why not?"
"Coz he doesn't feel that way" Kate simply stated both knowing she's using Tony's previous words.
"How do you know?"
"I just know"
They looked at each other for just a split second when Kate broke their gaze before melting in those emerald eyes of his. Looking at the night sky, it was Kate who broke the silence.
"There is no way he, … ‘this guy' would love me the way I love him"
"Why's that?"
"Cause, a lot of people don't" said Kate looking at the moonlight.
"… I love you" said Tony making Kate smile.
"I love you too"
(Silence)
"So are you gonna tell her?" Kate asked Tony after a while.
Tony just smiled at her and said with a wink…
"I just did".
