"Pickup, Pickup, Pickup." Ma muttered to herself. She was breaking every traffic rule ever invented while rushing back to NCIS.
"Gibbs"
"Gibbs, Tony was kidnapped"
"What!"
"Yes. Two big guys shoved him in a van at the airport. A tourist caught it on a video camera"
"Get back here as fast as you can"
"I am…" he had hung up.
"I'm here Gibbs."
"MacDonald, get that tape to Abby and help her."
"Ok" she said, rushing off.
"Abby!"
"Mac" she gave her a big hug. "Thank God you're ok"
"Yes. Well it's not me I'm worried about. It's Tony"
"I know. Have you got the tape?"
"Yes." She said, handing it over." Abby put it into the machine and put it on the 3 screens.
"You do something on that screen and I'll do something on this screen"
"Ok" she said, getting to work.
"Why were you at the airport anyway?"
"Tony was getting his bag back. His car was in the shop."
"Ok. It is a big thing about Kate and Tony though"
"I think we owe it to him to not talk about it"
"Sorry. I'll change the subject. How was your date?" she said slyly
"It was brilliant but is this really the time?"
"It will get my mind off of what is happening to Tony"
"Ok then. We had dinner, he let me help cook…"
"Wait he let you help? He never lets anyone help. He must really like you." Mac got a big grin on her face.
"Wait" she said spotting something. "He takes his mask off when he gets in the car, could you pull it up?"
"I can. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes" she said throwing her hand into the air. She managed to get a clear image of the man's face.
"I know that face." Mac told Abby. "Pull up the Baker file." She did so. Mac went through the photos on the screen and stopped at the one she was looking for. "Raneen Shakir. Murphy Baker's father."
"Gibbs" Abby yelled, putting him on speakerphone. "One of the kidnappers is Baker's father."
"That's good work Abs" he said hanging up.
"Hey Mac. I tried to call Chris last night. He didn't pick up. What time did he leave yours?"
"About 8 I think"
"Wow, that's early. Was it a school night?" she joked.
"A.M. Abs." Mac said, leaving with a smile on her face.
"Jethro" it was the Director.
"What is it Sir" Gibbs said to the man in front of him
"I want you to investigate a burned body on the Marine base."
"Sir, my team is busy looking for Tony. Can't you put another team on it?"
"I could, but I want yours, you are the best"
"But Sir…"
"Just do it Gibbs" he said, turning and walking away.
"Get your gear. We got a body."
"Shouldn't we be looking for Tony Boss?"
"Do you think McGee? That is why MacDonald is staying here. She's helping find him"
"Sorry Boss"
"Never say you're sorry, it's a sign of weakness"
"Sorry Boss." He said, the elevator doors closing.
"That was Ducky" Abby said, hanging up. "He says the body is back and he wants you to take a look."
"Ok. I'll see you later Abby" Mac said, walking away.
"Dad!" she said when she arrived in the basement.
"In here" she heard him call.
"Holy shit. What happened?" she said, seeing the body. He was burned beyond recognition.
"The poor fellow was shot and then burned. Based on the placing of the bullet, I'd say he was alive when the flames got him. You poor man"
"Did you manage to get any DNA?"
"Surprisingly I did. Jimmy is taking it up to Abigail."
"Great. Much evidence at the scene?"
"No he was found in a clean room"
"Seriously? How'd you figure that?"
"I have no idea. That is your job"
"True. See you later Dad"
"Gibbs, you brought me no evidence." Abby said, disappointed.
"Sorry Abs, this was all there was.
"A shoe print? All the evidence there, only a shoe print?"
"Afraid so. He was found in a clean room"
"Excuse Gibbs. At least I can try and ID Mr. Fire."
"Mr. Fire?"
"Yes, that's what I've named him."
"Ok"
"I'll call you when I have something"
"Thanks Abs" Gibbs said, leaving.
"Kate just sat and stared into space. Mac walked into the bull pen and started raking through Tony's desk. "What the hell are you doing?" She yelled, shocked.
"Looking for my PDA. I think DiNozzo took it"
"You are raking through his desk?"
"Yes. So. He did it to mine. Thank God, found it." She said, closing the drawer.
"Stop arguing" Gibbs ordered them, standing in between. "Abby thinks she got a DNA match. Come on"
"Abby!"
"Hold on a minute oh handsome one." She said to Gibbs. "I nearly have the file. I do have the file. Give me a second to pull it up.
"Oh Shit" Mac muttered. They looked at the photo and then the first line. It read
Name: NCIS Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo
